Dispute over india - china border.
India and China border dispute has been going on for decades. India shares about 3488 km border with China and there is dispute over about 3000 km border. However, Both countries have not yet fully demarcated. Because there is a boundary dispute between the india and china over many areas.
Main reason of dispute is that, China is a communist nation and wants to expand its border. There are more than 10 disputed region but more critical regions are Daulat beg oldi, Galwan and Pangong Lake.
Daulat beg oldi
Daulat Beg Oldi has a long history of dispute between China and India. In recent years China is more upset because India has increased patrolling in its area there. Earlier, there was a clash between the army personnel but then after reaching the senior level, the soldiers from both sides were pacified.
Galwan Valley
China is continuously increasing its activities in East Ladakh. Especially in the Galwan Valley, it has increased its army strength in recent times. China has also claimed this entire area to be its own.
Pangong Tso/Lake
There was a situation of tension between India and Chinese soldiers near this lake too. The LAC (Line of Actual Control) line passes through the middle of the lake, but India and China do not agree on its exact position.
45 km long western part of this lake are under control of india and other remaining parts of lake are under control china.
During the war in 1962, China launched its main offensive from this place.
