EPI 2020; ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE INDEX 2020

Recently Yale University published Environmental Performance Index 2020.
EPI is a combined initiative of Yale University and  Columbia University.  And it's completed by the contribution of WEF (WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM). 


This is 12th edition of EPI to be released biennially.
 A total of 180 countries  are included in this index, in which India ranked 168 with the score of  27.60.
In 2018, india ranked 177 with the score of 30.57.
1st 2nd 3rd and 4th rank of EPI are respectively Denmark , Luxembourg , Switzerland and United Kingdom.
Pakistan,Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka ranked respectively 142, 162, 145, 109th.

Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple Case & Decision of Supreme Court.

Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple is located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. According to historians, this temple belongs to the eighth century. But the structure of the present temple is of the 18th century, which was built by the then Maharaja Marthanda Varma of Travancore.  The architecture of Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple is Chera style, Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple is one of the 108 sacred temples associated with Vaishnava tradition in India. As we all know that during the crisis of covid-19 every person faced problems but migrants labours are facing lot of problem because Migrants labours have not food for eating and other fundamental things. So they are moving to his / her house. In view of this, finance minister Nirmala sitharaman recently announced about one Nation one ration card system in a Press Conference.   (Although it started in April 2018, but due to some difficulties, it could not be properly implemented yet) Finance minister Nirmala sitharaman said that one Nation one ration card system will rollout in all states and union territories by March 2021.
